DarkMAD 2023

LiveSantaFelix presents the biggest festival of dark and alternative music in Southern Europe.

After the first edition in October 2019, which was held in the magnificent Groove venue in Pinto (a town in the south of Madrid), the second edition of DarkMAD, the biggest dark & alternative festival in all of Southern Europe, moves to Autocine Madrid Fever, a spacious enclosure in the northern area of the city of Madrid.

The second edition will be held on April 29 and 30, 2023 combining sounds from the 80s that are currently enjoying enormous popularity, such as the very famous The Human League, Sigue Sigue Sputnik Electronic or The Arch, with the latest trends in synth wave and dark techno, represented by bands such as Boy Harsher, Kite, Rein, NNHMN, Blac Kolor and Mortaja.

Replacing Cold Cave, DarkMAD has announced the British band Test Dept, who will be performing on Sunday, April 30. Test Dept formed in 1981 and are one of the most important bands of the formative years of industrial. Although they were characterised by the use of unusual and colourful instruments like Einstürzende Neubauten, their sound always placed more emphasis on rhythmic elements. A very memorable moment of their career is the collaboration with the South Wales Striking Miners Choir, in support of the 1984 miners’ strike. A living legend of the industrial genre, for the first time in Spain!

Tickets to the event can be purchased here. For more info, check out the DarkMAD Website and Facebook Page.
